Movie Night on Friday - Potluck Too!
Join us for dinner and a show on Friday evening! At 6pm, we'll start with a potluck dinner, then adjourn into the sanctuary at 6:30 for a showing of a popular, mainstream movie that tackles faith issues. This one's a comedy, and while it brings up some good insights, it also carries a rating of PG-13 because of some crude humor and brief sexuality, so parents be warned.
We will discuss the film at the end of the evening, and try to figure out its good, the bad and the ugly. In addition to whatever you bring for the potluck (desserts and side dishes - we've got the meat), bring along some munchies for the movie itself. For more information about the film, click here.
Easter Invites Now Available!
Easter is just a month or so away. To help you invite your family and friends to church on this important Sunday, invitation cards for our Easter Sunday activities are now available at the church's Fellowship Table. The colorful postcards have room for a brief, personal note, and can be mailed or handed directly to friends and family. Get some to hand out on Sunday!
Welcome to
Green River United Methodist Church!
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Green River United Methodist Church is a group of less-than-perfect people who join together to worship, serve and celebrate God. We're not a real formal bunch, and think you'd find yourself feeling pretty comfortable here.
We don't pretend to have all the answers, or even to know all the questions. We do believe, though, in the Good News, or Gospel, of Jesus Christ. We also want to make a positive difference in each others' lives through the power of God's Holy Spirit, and to make a positive impact on our community.
Our ministries are expanding, and we invite you to look around our website to see what we're doing. Of course, we'd love to have you join us, and think there's a pretty good chance you'd feel comfortable here.

Lenten Dramas Take Turn
Our fourth Lenten drama takes a turn as we visit the FATHER of Jesus' prodigal son parable. Tim La Boria portrays the grieving father who longs for each of his two sons. The video here picks up a few moments after the drama begins.
